Security
Protect your account with passwords, 2FA, and session management
Keep your Klearcut account secure.
Password
Changing Your Password
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Save
Strong passwords:
- At least 12 characters
- Mix of letters, numbers, symbols
- Not used on other sites
Forgot Password
- On the login page, click Forgot Password
- Enter your email
- Check your inbox for a reset link
- Click the link and set a new password
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security:
Enabling 2FA
- Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Enable
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app
- Save your backup codes somewhere safe
Using 2FA
After entering your password, you'll be asked for the 6-digit code from your app.
Recovery
If you lose access to your authenticator:
- Use one of your backup codes
- Or contact support@klearcut.io for account recovery
Active Sessions
See where you're logged in:
- Go to Settings → Security → Sessions
- View all active sessions:
- Device type
- Location (approximate)
- Last active
- Click Revoke to log out a session
Data Export
Download all your data:
- Go to Settings → Security → Data Export
- Click Request Export
- We'll email you when it's ready
- Download within 7 days
Export includes:
- Customers
- Quotes
- Jobs
- Invoices
- Products
- Notes and attachments
Deleting Your Account
Account deletion is permanent. All data will be erased and cannot be recovered.
- Go to Settings → Security
- Scroll to Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Click Delete My Account
