Job Materials
Link materials to jobs and track usage
Know exactly what materials went into each job.
Adding Materials to a Job
From the job:
- Open the job
- Click the Materials tab
- Click Add Material
- Search for the product
- Enter quantity used
- Click Save
Stock levels update automatically.
From Quote to Job
When you convert a quote to a job:
- Quote line items linked to products become job materials
- Stock is committed (reserved for this job)
- When you mark the job complete, stock is deducted
Material Costs
Track your actual costs vs quoted:

Helps you quote more accurately next time.
Returning Materials
If you don't use everything:
- Open the job materials
- Click the material
- Click Return to Stock
- Enter quantity returned
- Click Save
Stock is credited back.
Reporting
See material usage across jobs:
- Go to Reports → Materials
- Filter by date range, product, or customer
- See:
- Total materials used
- Cost vs revenue
- Most used products
- Wastage trends
